For weight loss, we usually try a fad diet. One of that fad diet may be Intermittent Fasting.
Intermittent Fasting is not same as normal fasting. Normal fasting guide us to cut calorie for 1-2 days but Intermittent is different.
But we can’t say that both are different because both work on cutting calories.
During normal fasting, we cut the whole calorie for 1 day. While Intermittent Fasting works on the principle of reducing calorie intake for 2 days in a week.
During this fast a dieter can normally eat for 5 days in a week. But limit calorie intake in rest 2 day. So it is also known as 5:2 diet.
Is Intermittent Fasting effective for weight loss? Many beliefs are there that it is highly beneficial for losing weight.
Intermittent Dieting Fact
It is found that people practicing fast for 2 days in a week lose weight. A women suffering from heart disease practiced fast for 1 day a week.
She was on a juice diet for six days with 1 day fast with consuming no more than 120 calories a day.
After 8 week she saw great effect and lost 4 kg. But this effect was limited. There was no decrease in risk of heart disease (1) .
It has been found that Intermittent dieting helps you to lose weight. But the weight loss program is not so significant.
During this fast it is told that we can eat whatever we want without any restriction.
Achieving a healthy weight loss without a healthy diet is impossible. To lose weight quickly, it is important to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
A healthy diet should include fruits, vegetables, nuts, dairy products, etc. They provide a vast amount of nutrients that boost metabolism.
With the improvement in digestion and metabolism body starts burning excess fat stored in the body.
So weight loss is stimulated naturally without interference. Also clean eating prevents excess deposition of fat in the cell.
Intermittent Fasting Side-Effects
Intermittent fasting is not a very right approach for weight loss. Due to changes in eating pattern and not eating right diet, there is an imbalance in nutrition intake.

Due to the irregular pattern of eating habit metabolism is disturbed. Without proper metabolism healthy weight loss is not possible
Weight loss may not be complicated. But trying different fad diet makes it complicated. A fad diet are known for its quick fix. But weight loss is temporary.
As we quit fad diet, our metabolism hinders which increases weight.
The increase in food craving, slow metabolism, and increased appetite is the reason for weight gain.
To lose weight naturally in healthy ways we have to focus on healthy lifestyle.
A healthy lifestyle includes healthy diet and exercise.
Include fresh vegetable, fruit, cereals, nuts, and grains in the diet. Also, exercise boosts metabolism for healthy weight loss.
So try to skip fasting to lose weight.
