When you eat food, the enzymes in your body are used up in the process of metabolism, so that you get rid of extra calories easily.

You don’t need a scientist to tell you that metabolism slows down with age. But however, some studies are coming out that ascertain exciting facts about metabolism.

It was found that metabolism has a work for weight loss.

There is no such information about the relation of metabolism and weight gain, which often confuses people.

Or in simple terms, one can say that metabolism is nothing but a process that takes place in our body to convert food into energy.

To lose weight, you need to speed up your metabolism so that the fat in your body is utilized in the proper manner.

For weight loss, all you have to do is enhance your metabolism, and you can do it by simple tricks written below. There are three main factors necessary to speed up metabolism:

  • Intake of calories: More the intake of healthy food the construction of energy is more.
  • Physical activities: Every type of exercise needs energy. Metabolism levels rise when you involve your body in rigorous and consistent exercise activities.
  • Eating patterns: For proper metabolism, it is necessary that you maintain a healthy eating pattern. You can harm your metabolism if you don’t supply your body with food in every 3 hours.

Below are a few tips that will help you to increase your metabolism:

1. Choose proper diet

For proper metabolism, you should choose your food wisely. Make sure that your diet includes protein rich food.

Carbohydrate and fats should be equally present. You can include food like broccoli, oats, grapes, capsicum, spinach, beans and green tea.

2. Add spices to your food

Spicy food is known to increase metabolism. If you want to lose weight, include spicy food in your charts.

3. Minimize sugar intake

Try and avoid more sweeteners. Other stimulants like cigarettes and coffee are fake energy boosters; they act on your hormones and disturb the metabolism of your body.

Avoid foods that are rich in caffeine content. Instead of choosing fresh fruit juices, which are nothing but preservatives and extra sugar added to water, pick fresh fruits.

4. Quit alcohol

Please maintain a healthy distance from alcohol. As it promotes hunger and hence force you to eat more, it can disturb your metabolism.

5. Perform aerobic exercises

As stated above, physical exercise promotes healthy metabolism. So if you want to lose weight perform a physical exercise like jogging, walking, swimming and cycling in your daily routine.

Perform all these exercises at least for 45 minutes each day. You will be surprised how the metabolism levels rise when you exercise consistently.

Each time you exercise, try to reach the peak; instead of non-stop exercise, perform the exercise with breaks.

And later on, you can also include exercise to enhance your endurance so that your muscles develop with a fast speed and burn the fat at a faster rate.

6. Don’t ever skip breakfast

After rolling out of the bed, eat a healthy and yummy breakfast. Don’t skip the breakfast, as if you skip the breakfast your body can go into starvation mode and cause serious harm to your metabolism.

The human body is in a catabolic state in the mornings, meaning whatever nutrients are consumed; they get broken down for various body processes.

Breakfast is the perfect meal where you should include nutrient rich foods.

7. Green tea

Green tea is one of the best things one can ever have to lose weight and lead a healthy life. Another advantage with green tea is its reach of antioxidants that help you lose weight.

The intake of green tea helps you burn fat; it can do so because of a compound called ECGC present in it.

Green tea is a regular addition to the diets of health-conscious people. Try it out for some weeks and notice the difference yourself.

8. Workout

Along with aerobic exercises, proper workout also helps you lose weight by improving the metabolism of your body.

As energy is needed to perform various physical exercises at a faster rate to prevent the body muscles from the condition of fatigue, the body provide energy at a faster rate and hence improve the body metabolism.

But don’t perform vigorous physical exercise from Day 1, increase the load in a progressive way. As sudden vigorous exercise lead to lactic acid formation in the body, leading to body and muscle pain for two to three days.

Don’t forget to warm-up before starting the workout. And perform the exercise for specific time intervals. Always take 1-2 mins rest between reps.

Push your body to failure as soon as you get comfortable with working out. Apart from exercise, diet is also an important part to keep the body in a healthy and fit condition.

Eating celery can also help you to lose weight, as it is mostly made up of water and cellulose, so it doesn’t get involved in the extra fat formation in your body.

3. Spinach

This leafy veggie is full of health benefits. The Spinach is also a rich source of antioxidants; you should include spinach in your diet plan as soon as possible to get a positive result and boost up the metabolism.

4. Coconut

Coconut undoubtedly is one of the best drinks for refreshment, but if you wish to lose weight that you should involve coconut in your daily routine.

5. Cinnamon

Only a few people know that cinnamon is a natural blood sugar stabilizer. Just a single tablespoon of cinnamon can help stabilize the sugar levels. Researchers are finding out whether it can be used as a method to treat diabetes.

6. Broccoli
