Exercise is the best way to stay physically healthy. But its benefits are not limited till physical. It has been found that exercise can also protect from Alzheimer disease.
Alzheimer is due to increase in deposition of plaque in brain cells. But due to exercise, these depositions is reduced.
Another reason it is effective to prevent Alzheimer is an increase in blood flow towards the brain.
Alzheimer is caused due to a decrease in blood flow towards the brain. Due to a decline in blood flow, there is damage to brain cell due to oxidative stress.
But exercise prevents cell damage due to oxidative stress. Also to increase in the supply of blood towards the brain, so it starts developing new neurons which are gray matter.
Gray matter is responsible for memory storing capacity, coordination, emotions, and much more. So with an increase in brain health, there is a decrease in the development of Alzheimer.
