During setting a weight loss program, we set a big goal. But goal setting should be according to the present fitness level. If you are inactive for a period then never over-train.
Over-training has been a major reason for any failure of weight loss or muscle gain program.
These incidents are common.
Earlier when we joined a gym to gain muscle we were very energetic to do exercise. But one of my friends started to work harder.
As we were new to the gym and was not active for a long period, we were guided to do basic exercise for limited time.
But due to ignorance one of my friend fall into the trap of over-training. He was not able to go the gym for few days.
What’s Result: Due to the over-training body is not able to exert pressure suddenly. It results in injury without proper recovery. There will delay in your fitness or weight loss program.
So firstly we have to set an achievable goal. An achievable goal may be…
5-day exercise and 2-day rest: Exercise plays a major role in weight loss. And going the gym for 5 days is not a big task. With 2 day rest period in between the workouts will prevent injury. By simply setting a 5-2 training-rest schedule you will not skip your exercise.
Completely Neglecting Diet: For a healthy weight loss we need enough nutrition. A healthy diet boosts metabolism to burn more fat and calories. Completely neglecting calorie diet can increase sugar cravings. With the increase in sugar craving, we tend to more than usual.
Eat Healthy and Nutrient Rich Diet: We need protein, carbohydrate, fat, vitamin and minerals for the development of the body. Without proper diet, a healthy weight loss is not possible.
Simple Steps To Follow
Maintain a Diary: Diary maintenance is a significant step which will keep track on your daily activity. Write down every detail about what you eat, exercise timing, etc…
Never Over-training: Never overtrain in the gym it will increase the risk of injury.
Reward Yourself: If you are on a weight loss program then you might me skipping your favorite food. You can eat the food you like only weekly also in limited serving. It will keep you motivated.

Set a small achievable goal. You don’t need to plan for a month. Everyone mostly completes the weekly goal. So set weekly and attainable to lose weight quickly.
