People who slept for at least 7 hour lose more weight than people who slept less time. So sleeping pattern affected their weight loss program.
Why Sleep Affect Weight Loss Program?
1. Eating Habit
Leptin and Ghrelin are hormones that control our appetite level. They play a significant role in maintaining appetite. If any hormone balance is disturbed, then there is a disturbance in Weight Loss Program.
Leptin is produced to suppress hunger.
Ghrelin is released by the stomach to Stimulate appetite.
But the lack of sleep reduces production of leptin that suppress appetite. Thus, with more ghrelin appetite is stimulated to eat more food.
2. Unhealthy Eating / Craving
It has been noted that people with proper sleep have a lower craving for unhealthy food. They are not attracted towards unhealthy food.
But people with lack of sleep there is an increase in craving for food. Thus, craving increases appetite to eat unhealthy junk food.
This experience is common to everyone. Some people work late night. And late night food craving is the cause of weight gain.
We eat snacks to fulfill our craving. These snacks might be filled with sugar and fats.
Thus, an eating pattern is changed which hinders weight loss program.
3. Body Development
If you are ignoring sleep, then you are making the worst mistake. It is true that body and mind are more active when we are sleeping.
During our all day work there is constant wear and tear of muscles. This wear and tear of muscles are healed during deep sleep.
To heal any injury or muscle cramp, it suggested sleeping longer. But if this sleeping pattern is disturbed body get less time to recover that wear and tear.
People with long sleeping hour recovered faster to develop a strong body.
How Much Time Should We Sleep To Lose Weight?
Sleeping is important to maintain a healthy life. But it doesn’t mean that you have to oversleep. Oversleeping can also be dangerous to the health.
A long and deep sleep is a high priority for a healthy lifestyle. With proper sleeping pattern, you will stay stress-free that will increase your productivity.
The body will adapt to become stronger as a day pass.
And last weight loss is also stimulated. We can lose weight when we do exercise and sleep properly.
So sleep deeper to gain maximum health benefits.
