Stress is among the most common problem we face in our daily life. Its effect has worsened due to more work schedule at the office or college.
Due to change in healthy habit and pressure on the brain, stress has been rooted in our life.
It has a much more vast effect on the body. Due to increase in stress depression increases. Also, it can lead to heart disease and hypertension.
And one of the common problems due to stress is weight gain. We tend to eat more when we face stressful condition.
The excess workload in the office to complete the project worsen our stress. Like this due to changes in lifestyle more health issues has arisen. But stress is not a small problem as it looks. If you are ignoring it, then better treat it before it worsens health problem.
Among the list of problems are
- Heart attack
- Insulin sensitivity
- Sleepless night
Weight gain is most severe in every person. It is due to eating unhealthy and calorie dense foods.
What is The Cause of The Problem?
OverEating: During stressful condition we tend to more foods rich in calorie. We are attracted towards foods containing sugar and fat. Also, it is found that we eat more during this time. Thus an increase in calorie intake increase weight.
Chemical Changes: Due to increasing stressful condition cortisol is produced in the body. Cortisol is responsible for the development of new fat cell. With increase in new fat cell body store more fat.
Sleeping pattern: For a successful weight loss we need a good and deep sleep. But what if we not able to get required quality sleep? The end result will be unwanted eating and slower metabolism. So it will trigger an unwanted weight gain.

Decrease in Exercise: One of the worst case of stress I had noticed is we can’t continue our workout schedule during a stressful condition. We can’t properly complete our workout when we are in a good mood. Due to upset situation we are not able to complete our workout. It is most reason of weight gain.
How to prevent this Situation
If you are facing same problem then you take few step and surely you will be benefited
Do exercise: doing exercise for few minutes release happy hormones and refresh you.
Meditation and deep breathing: Meditation or deep breathing exercise is the most beneficial and easiest way to fight stress. If you feel stress during work then relax for 3-4 minutes and start breathing slowly and deeply. Within few minutes you will feel relaxed.
Eat clean and healthy diet. Do some deep breathing exercise to prevent excess stress. Also include exercise like jogging or strength training in groups. Group exercise prevents you from skipping exercise.
