Weight Exercises For Love Handles

If you’re working on improving your body and are particularly conscious about your love handles, there are a variety of strength based exercises which you can use to rid your body of your love handles. As love handles are simpler to get rid of than you might think. If you like the idea of learning new exercises to get rid of your love handles and to reclaim your confidence, simply continue reading to discover a few life changing exercises that will transform your waist in a relatively short period of time.

Wood choppers:

You can perform simple wood choppers with either free weights or a weighted medicine ball. Wood choppers are a fun and effective exercise which target your waist. To perform a wood chopper make sure to stand with your feet facing forward, hip width apart. Next place your body weight on your left leg and hold your weight or medicine ball up above your left shoulder, making sure to use both hands to grip onto your chosen weight. Next, twist your body at your waist in order to simulate a chopping motion, down towards your right hip. Before swinging both of your arms back up above your left shoulder to their original position.

Complete this fun exercise 20 times, before reversing it and swinging your weight from above your right shoulder down to your left hip. Think of swinging your weight, like a lumberjack would swing their axe in order to fell a tree.

Weighted Russian twists:

Alternatively you may want to get into the habit of performing weighted Russian twists. If you’re not familiar with Russian twists, sit on a yoga mat with your legs up in the air infront of you. Ideally your back and your legs should be lifted to create a v, while your bottom is on your yoga mat. Holding your weight alternate between turning your waist from the left side to tap your weight on the right side of your body, before twisting your body again to tap your weight on the left side of your body. Alternate between tapping your weight on your left side of your body and your right side of your body 20 times. This is a quick and effective exercise that you can perform as part of your daily workout routine. Especially as it takes little time.

Bicycle crunches:

Bicycle crunches don’t require physical weights and instead only require your body weight. To perform bicycle crunches you’ll again want to sit on a yoga mat and to raise your right elbow to touch your left knee, with your body again making a v shape with your back and legs off the ground. Next, use your left elbow to touch your right knee. Keep alternating between elbows and knees for 20-40 reps depending on your current level of fitness.

In conclusion, if you want to get rid of your love handles in order to increase your confidence, it’s a great idea to complete all three of the weighted exercises that are listed above on a pretty regular basis. In order to transform your body!
